Jubilee Church Shepperton is part of Commission, an international family of churches united by a shared passion for Jesus and his mission, and a clear vision to see ‘thousands of lives transformed through hundreds of churches in tens of nations’.

Commission is led by Guy Miller with teams of leaders and is enthusiastically part of the wider Newfrontiers family of churches.

Commission has churches in the UK, India, Spain, Portugal and other nations. Commission is passionate about planting churches, equipping the saints, training leaders, reaching the unreached and caring for the poor.

Commission's vision:
Commission SUREcommission vision crop

During 2017, four teams regularly met together to develop work plans for each part of SURE. After this stage, the plans were carefully put together into 10 similar groups of work, to become teams of their own called 'Transformation Teams'. (Our lead elder, Dave Webb-Peploe is a part of the Social Justice transformation team). Real progress has been made towards the vision, and things are really moving along.

Commission : Newfrontiers
Commission is part of the NewFrontiers global movement of churches which has grown over the last 30 years to over 1000 churches across the world under the leadership of Terry Virgo.  As Newfrontiers has grown, Terry has recognised that a number of leaders have emerged with a gift to lead, serve and oversee the churches within Newfrontiers. Now each of these pioneers their own network of churches called 'spheres' (such as Commission), while still maintaining the core vision and values of Newfrontiers.

Commission : Jubilee church
Every summer lots of us from Jubilee go to Commission's family festival, newly named Connect Festival (previously 'Westpoint' where it used to be held) for a long weekend of events, worship, teaching and togetherness.
Commission also regularly organise and promote activities, training, seminars and other conferences, eg prayer days,  children's workers conference, and CST event (students to thirties).

Our church leaders meet termly with leaders from other Commission churches in our London region ('Hub') for relevant teaching, to share news of what churches are doing across the region, to hear from God together, to pray for and encourage one another, and to generally build relationship across the churches.
Our lead elder, Dave, also meets up with a smaller group of lead elders within that region ('Cluster'), getting together for mutual support and encouragement
